Me in NGI Chef's JacketLately, a lot of people have been coming down with a sore throat version of the flu; myself included. If I don’t catch a sore throat right away, it will usually escalate to a full-blown flu within hours.

I was able to stave off the symptoms overnight, by drinking a concoction (details below), but then the sore throat came back again a few days later. So I drank the concoction again, and it went away, but then a few days later, it was back. This time, the concoction is helping it go away, but this virus is really a tough one.

So, if you’ve had this sore throat flu thing, or you know of someone who has, or even if you just want to know what to do, the next time one comes along, here is my “recipe.”

In distilled water, I added:

5 drops of GSE (Grapefruit Seed Extract)

A few drops of Cayenne tincture

10 drops of Astragalus Root tincture

2 Tablespoons of raw ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar)

I basically put together whatever I had in my cupboard. I also took several food-grade, vitamin D3 capsules (over 2000 IUs). D3 is critical to our immune health, and we must supplement with D3. We do not get enough from the sun, or food. Despite some of the stories that are out there, you cannot overdose on D3, or take too much. On a daily basis, you’ll want to take between 2000 and 5000 IUs, and when you’re coming down with something, you can take as much as 20,000 IUs to help knock out the virus.

Astragalus is a very important immune supportive herb to keep in your cupboard, as is Cayenne, GSE, and ACV. ACV will alkalize your body so that the pathogen has a less hospitable environment within which to live and thrive, as pathogens need an acidic environment. The other ingredients are all capable to killing, or neutralizing the pathogen.
