Why Being A Foodie Isn’t Elitist

This article, by Eric Schlosser, author of “Fast Food Nation,” was in the April 29, 2011 edition of the WSJ. It is a very well written article, and its length is necessary, due to the complex nature of the “business” of food in the US. In order to understand what is really going on, it takes this much to explain it all.

As I have mentioned in previous posts here, on Facebook, and on my radio show, I do not like to promote fear-mongering, or post information that I feel only serves up one point of view, or encourages one to become even more divisive on a topic. I try to balance that with my overriding mission, which is to promote health through information and awareness. This is valuable information for anyone who is looking to make informed choices about food.
